Ron Coleman is the founder of one the top basketball tournaments on the West Coast -
Southwest Showcase. In addition, he has co-founded the All Arizona Academic Camp (with Jon
Perryman) the top rated Senior Showcase (Senior Exposure Event) and the SWS Combines /
Showcases. Ron has seen almost every current collegiate basketball player from Arizona
compete in his camps and tournaments. Ron understands the recruiting process of academic
schools as his son Marques Coleman was a member of the Brown University's basketball team.
Marques is currently an paid assistant coach at Brown University while he is finishing up his
degree. He basketball career was ended prematurely due to injuries.
Ron has coached many top AAU teams in Arizona and has been a camp counselor at several
elite camps including the Michael Jordan Flight School.
Ron is also a basketball analyst for the leading Arizona Rivals site (ArizonaVarsity.com) where
he covers players from Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff and Yuma. He runs the annual Flagstaff and
Tucson Showcases which has had great success.
Jon Perryman is the founder and publisher of the successful Arizona Rivals site,
ArizonaVarsity.com. He is also the co-founder of the All Arizona Academic Camp. Jon has
coached many top AAU teams in Arizona (5 state and one national title) and has been a camp
counselor at several elite camps including five years at the Michael Jordan Flight School. Jon
has served as the Arizona Boys AAU Basketball Chairman, and was a guest speaker at the Nike
National High School Basketball Coaches meeting in Atlanta in 1999. Jon is involved in
evaluating and ranking Arizona's boys basketball players. His rankings are considered the
official rankings for Arizona.
Jon has a son (Arizona) an Academic All-American daughter (Arizona/Kansas) who competed at
the D1 level in track & field. His sister's sons went on to be Academic All-American's, one in D1
football (Oklahoma, 3 years in the NFL) the other in D1 golf (Georgia - currently the head coach
at Oklahoma University), so he understands the recruiting process, and the importance of
academics.
Dutch Perryman recently graduated from the University of Arizona where he was a four-
year sports letterman in track and field. He completed a dual major in Entrepreneurship and
Business Management. Since college he has been working to expand the sports coverage of
ArizonaVarsity.com as a sports analyst and site publisher.
Dutch started in the eight grade and was the 5A state championship as a senior in high school.
On the basketball court he won several AAU state championships, a national club
championship, and was a starting point guard for the Desert Vista Thunder when they went to
the state finals in 2004.
Monty Rohde is a Site Director for Southwest Showcase Tournaments and Events.
In addition, he leads the RecruitAssist Program offered by Southwest Showcase at
tournaments, combines, showcases and workshops. Monty understands the recruiting
process for both the men’s and women’s requirements for all levels of college opportunities.
His son Taylor played basketball for 2 years at Arizona State University and is currently on
scholarship for his remaining two years of eligibility at the University of Alaska Anchorage. His
daughter Alexandra will be attending The University of Arizona on an athletic scholarship in the
Fall of 2011. Monty has coached in various capacities for boys and girls AAU teams in Arizona.
